Come and join us with picnics and enjoy the summer sun in Hyde Park with OneTaste and their incredible line up: Little Dragon, Ebony Bones, MC Xander, Jamie Woon, Polarbear, Kate Tempest, Joe Driscoll, Sound of Rum, Pearl Apollo, United Vibrations, and DJ John Hendicott!!!!

Little Dragon - Little Dragon, radiant Swedish soul/electro band, are blazing a new trail for live electronic music and our co-headliner for the Royal Parks stage. Dynamic, organic, beat-driven and soulful, Little Dragon released their debut album last year leading to sell out shows at Cargo and Jazz Café, plus support for Q Tip. Their 2nd album will be released in August 09.

Ebony Bones – Ebony Bones, our co-headline star is the ringleader of a seven-piece band that deliver stomping punk-carnival tunes. It will be an outrageous Technicolor performance of epic proportions. Her much anticipated debut album, “Bones of My Bones”, will be out later this year.

MC Xander – A Rapper and beatboxer, this innovative artist uses nothing more than a mic, a pedal controlled sampler, an FX box and his own vocal chords to record, loop and edit the beats, sounds and words emanating from his mouth.

Jamie Woon – Jamie Woon, singer-songwriter from London uses his unique guitar style, loop sampler, his band and strikingly soulful vocals to create his fresh and atmospheric take on R’n’B that has an indefinable yet distinctly British slant. His debut studio album due for release at the end of 2009.

Polarbear – The Brummie who speaks stories. Formed in the North Pole from a combination of Hip-Hop and Bukowski, he tells of everyday things for everyone to relate to. His style and delivery will take you with him on journeys to places you’re sure you know.

Kate Tempest – Kate Tempest (formerly Excentral Tempest) is a rapper, poet and playwright. Scroobius Pip says: “She has no right whatsoever to be as good as she is. It astounds me. Her writing is epic, her delivery piercing, and with the addition of her band Sound of Rum her potential is realised. Inspirational.”

Joe Driscoll – A modern day one man band, Joe Driscoll effortlessly fuses hip-hop, reggae, soul, folk and roots rock making him a champion with festival crowds. He creates the soundscape of a full band utilizing heavy vocal percussion, an array of instruments, a loop pedal, and a big imagination.

Sound of Rum – Sound of Rum are a 3 piece, loop-based, beats and rhymes band. Archie Marsh plays guitar & bass, Ferry Lawrenson plays drums, & rising rapper & poet Kate Tempest does the words. Their catchy Hip hop debut EP ‘Balance’ was described by Scroobius Pip as ‘Genius.’

John Hendicott – John made his name as a DJ on the UK festival circuit, specialising in electronic hip-hop, funk, and broken beats with a tendency to lean towards the big epic sound.

A rising producer that is known for pushes the boundaries, he recently worked with rappers such as Lady Lykez, Kate Tempest, Yap and produced grime artist, Chipmunk’s hit single.
